Hi guys! I’m still in the midst of unpacking and arranging my sewing room, so I haven’t gotten much sewing done lately because unfortunately the rest of the house has taken priority. But just a week or so ago I did attend the Sew Fancy Retreat with 👑Libs Elliott and 👑Giucy Guice and I had so much fun. It was nice to take a break from working and dealing with house stuff and just sew. The babies and poms did get to go and they had so much fun exploring the mountains but I didn’t get any night sewing done. 😭😭😭 I can’t wait to see what Pink Door has planned for their next retreat!

At the retreat I started on the La Fin du Monde Quilt using both collections of phosphor fabrics and and then i’m piecing the background in Libs’ neutral low volume-y fabrics so I can’t wait to finish that in 80 million years. I did finish half of one row though! And then the next day I started working on Giucy’s Re Quilt, which is sf stunning I’m obsessed. I also found out he rereleased his moonstone quilt pattern, so I’m on the hunt for that now.

I also went shopping at the retreat! I picked out the fabrics for Libs’ patreon quilt and of course I’m making the biggest version, called One Great Thing. I’m using Giucy’s neon deco and spectratastic lines, I just need to plan out the color placements. It started on the first of this month so I better get my butt in gear.

I also finally got around to posting the 1st month of 👑Sew Jodie’s Inner Cube quilt on my IG, just as I got a notification that the 3rd month has charged my account lol. Anyways, I’m in love with this quilt! The way 👑Tula has me in a chokehold with her black and white fabric. I wish she would do a black and white collection every year because idk what I’m going to do without those dots and stripes.

so uh…idk what my deal is with staining my blocks but i did it to this one too. The bottom white star is stained, Pink Door was sweet enough to send a little glittery tula project bag with the 1st month and mine got a hole in it and just spilled all over that block! I tried oxycleaning it and it helped a lot but I didn’t want to take all the papers out cuz I’m lazy and I’ll just deal with it later. Or beg my 👑Gammie to help me. 😏
i’ve been signing up for BOM’s like crazy, with this new big backyard I can just sit outside with my littles and stitch while they play. I love playing with them but they’re on a powerwheels kick and I would probably total one if I tried to sit in it. Sooo I signed up for these BOM’s from 👑Pink Door (of course):

The Alchemy BOM which starts in June.

The Traverse BOM, I of course signed up for the 👑Tula colors, this is machine pieced and y’all know how my machine gives me anxiety because she’s brillant and I’m afraid of breaking her.

The Galaxy BOM which will be using Tula’s tiny beast line, excited to see how this will turn out I might change it up a little bit.
I’m also doing 👑Alison Glass’ stitch club where we’re making kantha quilts, I’m still assembling my rows I’m sew behind. 🙈🙈🙈 She did announce that her and Giucy are doing another collab and I can’t wait to see what that looks like!

Right now I’m working on my Liberty La Pas! I can’t wait to see how this little rosette turns out because everyday I seem to change my mind about it. Here’s a little sneak peek of how things are going:

Well that’s pretty much what I’ve got going on for now, off to clean up my sewing room and work on my la pas some more! Enjoy your day! xo, v
