Hi everyone! I finished stitching the second block on the smitten quilt over the weekend. You can see part of my puppy snuggling me in the picture above. I got to stitch as we drove around looking for land again. Its a crazy market where I live, everything is just going so quickly that if you find a property you love and its gone before you know it. We’ve literally been looking at places that have gone into escrow as we’re looking at it. It’s been very discouraging to say the least.
Anyways back to the quilt, I’m loving how everything is turning out so far. Its been a very relaxing project for me. Also I love how thick the paper pieces are, its very nice to stitch on something that I don’t have to worry about tearing or accidentally taking too deep of a bite out of the fabric and stabbing the paper because I can’t feel the paper piece too well. Because of that I think it’s been saving me time. I got the kit from Pink Door Fabrics, I’m not sure if they’ve sold out of the kits or not but in case you’re looking to start a late winter project this is a good one.
I’ve already started stitching the third block, I’m almost halfway through! So hopefully I can update you guys next week. Take care!
PS – something horrible happened to me – my little beastie babies broke my stitching lamp, so I’m trying to quickly get that replaced. 😭😭😭
